Chris Latvala

Commissioner Chris Latvala has joined DMS with a lifetime of political experience. During summers and spring break, 11-year-old Chris Latvala could often be found at Direct Mail Systems, Inc., a firm started by his father, Jack Latvala, stuffing envelopes or applying address labels.

After graduation, from University of Central Florida he moved back to the Tampa Bay area and began his own career in politics, serving as manager to multiple campaigns and as a legislative aide. In 2014 Chris was elected to the Florida House of Representatives where he honorably served Clearwater and Largo until 2022.He spent part of that time serving as the Chair of the House Education and Employment Committee passing landmark legislation supporting education in Florida. He was then elected to the Pinellas County Commission in 2022.

Chris brings years of campaign experience to DMS, both personal and for many successful clients. He has been named by Florida Politics on the Top 25 Most Powerful Tampa Bay Politicians list several times, as well as being named on the Winners list in numerous election cycles for his work on successful campaigns.

A tireless advocate for Pinellas County, Chris is a member of the 2014 Leadership Pinellas class and has served on the board of multiple local charities including PACE Center for Girls and Boys and Girls Club. He has also continued the family tradition of organizing the community farm share to distribute food to families in need here in Pinellas.
